Pre-Construction & Estimating
Our pre-construction services team has the capability to read preliminary drawings and create a complete and detailed conceptual estimate. Our employees understand the design process and are able to present fully functional electrical system estimates.
We will make recommendations from concept through completion and supply pricing comparisons to alternative systems and design concepts. This enables the owner and construction team to make informed decisions that ensure schedule and budget commitments are maintained.
The beginning stages of a project are often the most important, and our pre-construction team makes it their priority to maximize value, identify potential issues and develop strategies to counteract obstacles, and maintain budgets.
BIM (Building Information Modeling)
We are a leader in the utilization of detailed engineered installation drawings. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a valuable project coordination tool that allows the project team to view three-dimensional drawings of the building components. We have over 15 qualified CAD operators who are familiar with projects of all types. From hospitals to data centers, we are willing and able to offer our expertise. Design-Assist
Our staff consists of licensed Professional Engineers and industry leaders who understand each design phase, and they strive to give our clients the project they want at the best value. Walker's responsibility is to listen, provide accurate budgets, and offer solutions in the beginning of the process and be accountable for those solutions as the design process progresses.
The earlier Walker is involved, the greater the opportunity for savings. We approach each project by looking for items 'behind the wall' as opposed to simple program reductions. Every suggestion is intended to enhance the project's uptime program requirements and add to future service and maintenance capabilities.

Pre-Fabrication Shop
Walker Engineering explores opportunities to save the owner time and money through pre-fabrication opportunities. We have a fully staffed 26,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Our Pre-Fab Coordinator has over 15 years in the pre-fab business and has been an integral part of establishing process and QC protocols to allow us to produce UL rated products as an UL Approved Industrial Control Panel Shop. Products manufactured in our shop bear a UL Label allowing for installation without inspection.

Safety
We have a strong commitment to provide a safe, clean and secure workplace and maintaining a culture which promotes high standards of employee health and safety. We're proud that our overall safety approach has resulted in year to year Experience Modifier Ratings among the best in the country for electrical contractors. Our current EMR of .42 follows successive years of .35, .45, and .31.
